Introductions:

Diarrhea:

Diarrhea is loose, watery stools three or more times a day, a condition in which feaces are discharged from the bowels frequently and in a liquid form. Diarrhea may be acute, persistent, or chronic:

Acute diarrhea is a common problem that typically lasts 1 or 2 days and goes away on its own.

Pharmacology

HR 7 contains a powerful antidiarrhoeal formula in which Colocynthis is irritant and cathartic. It acts powerfully by producing copious watery evacuations. It irritates the intestinal mucous membrane and increases liquid production. HR 7 also contains Berberris vulgaris in which berberine acts as antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and antiparasitic. HR 7 contains Chamomilla, its anti inflammatory, anti allergic and antispasmodic actions gives relief to the foul smelling diarrhea and highly irritable bowels. It has digestive actions for undigested food. HR 7 has rapid healing and soothing effect on gastrointestinal tract. Its spasmolytic effects are thought to be inhibiting lukotriene synthesis and polysacharrides activate macrophages and B-lymphocytes for wound healing. HR 7 contains chamomilla in which apienin causes the relaxing effects to irritated intestine, stomach pains, cramping and digging pain in diarrhea and dysentery. Additionally in acute diarrheal conditions Hydrastis can is used as a disinfectant. Hydrastis contains berberine and hydrastine which has a broad spectrum antibacterial and antiviral action.

Formula with properties:

Acid phos 3D: Diarrhea, white, watery, involuntary, painless, with much flatus; not especially exhausting.

Berberis Vulg 1D: Constant urging to stool. Diarrhea painless, clay-colored, burning, and smarting in anus and perineum. Tearing around anus.

Chamomilla 1D: Flatulent colic, after anger, with red cheeks and hot perspiration. Diarrhea during dentition. Hemorrhoids, with painful fissures.

Chininum Ars 8D: Alternation of hyperacidity and decrease of acid. Anorexia. Eggs produce diarrhea.

Colocynthis 6D: Agonizing cutting pain in abdomen causing patient to bend over double, and pressing on the abdomen. Pain in small spot below navel. Dysenteric stool renewed each time by the least food or drink.

Hamamelis Virg 1D: Anus feels sore and raw. Hemorrhoids bleeding profusely, with soreness. Dysentery. Pulsation in rectum.

Hydrastis Can 1D: Sore feeling in stomach. Weak digestion. Bitter taste. Pain as from a hard-cornered substance. Atonic dyspepsia.
